Surgical Technologist I - Operating Room - Per Diem - Days Variable Start Times

Salary Range:
$47.18 - $53.75 plus applicable per diem differential
Summary of Duties: The scrub surgical technologist handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Protects patient safety by following regulations and standards, accounts for all items post-operatively to avoid retained objects and maintains sterile technique during procedure. assist in prepping room for patient care and room turn-over.
Educational Requirements: Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technology program required. Or in lieu of a certification from an accredited surgical technology program, must possess at least 2 years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in an acute care facility.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Surgical Technician Certification preferred. AHA BLS required.
Special Skills or Abilities: Ability to work cooperatively with physicians and co-workers in a complex fast paced environment. Must posses the emotional stamina to work in a busy, complex and stressful environment . Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required.
