Senior Project Manager - Information Services - Full Time 8Hr - Days

Salary Range: $133,848 - $180,731
Summary of Duties: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes the progress of projects. Prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of projects. Prepares for and runs project steering committees. Active PMO Board member, may run PMO Board as required. Contributes information required for PMO Board dashboards and views. Does not have direct reports, but oversees a broad range of project staff resources with various assignments. Responsible for continuously developing and improving organization-specific standard work for projects. Follows best practices for project management, including documentation appropriate to project size. Follows standard project management processes and use of tools, e.g. developing project charter and scope documents, project reporting, analysis, intake through closure management, and applying appropriate change management methodologies. In addition to performing the essential functions listed below, may also be assigned other duties as required.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, healthcare, quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience of certifications and work history required.
- Project Management Certification through PMI (PMP) or another accredited institution.
Licensure/Certification
- Required: PMP Certification through PMI or other accredited institution.
- Desired: Lean certification from an established certifying body
Experience Requirements
- Minimum six (6) years of experience in planning and implementing complex IS projects, and at least three (3) years in a healthcare environment.
Special Skills or Abilities
- Working knowledge of SharePoint, SmartSheets, Excel, and industry-standard project management tools.
- Excellent coordinator and collaborator to lead teams of various sizes
- Adaptable to successfully lead short-term projects typical of cloud-based niche applications as well as long-term projects of up to 18 months.
- Ability to apply Lean concepts.
