Ventus Solutions is seeking a skilled Senior Robotics Engineer to support the development of cutting-edge autonomous systems that enhance warfighter survivability in the field. As part of a multi-disciplinary SETA team, you will collaborate closely with Program Managers (PM) and technical subject matter experts in medicine, robotics, and machine learning to design, prototype, and refine innovative robotic technologies for combat medics and surgeons. This role demands both deep technical expertise and the ability to translate complex ideas into actionable program strategies within a fast-paced, collaborative working environment. Work Location: Arlington, VA

 

Required Experience:

 

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience developing autonomous systems (UAV, UGV, or UUV) with varied payload and dexterity capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++ with daily use of robotics frameworks such as ROS.
  • Strong understanding of control systems, perception sensors, and sensor integration.
  • Expertise in large-scale signal acquisition and data analysis using advanced machine learning tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance

 

 

Desired Experience:

 

  • Experience designing or prototyping robotics systems for medical or life sciences applications.
  • Familiarity with FDA medical device approval processes.
  • Participation in or management of robotics competitions.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams in research, academia, or government environments.
  • Passion for developing autonomous technologies that improve field medicine outcomes and save lives.
