Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking a skilled Mission Engineering Study Lead to support an innovative program. You will serve as the senior analytic member of a team of analysts, engineers, and modelers conducting mission engineering studies in accordance with program regulations. You will assist the in developing study plans, identifying required resources, engaging stakeholders, executing studies, and authoring final reports that inform senior leadership decision-making. You will lead and manage cross-functional teams in executing studies following the mission engineering process. You will collaborate with mission characterization, architecture, and constructive analysis teams to develop products, synthesize results, answer Key Questions, and support evolving Joint mission objectives.

Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, Management Science, Physics, or related field; OR advanced Professional Military Education certificate relevant to Military Training and/or Military Planning.
- 7+ years of experience in operations research with a focus on mission engineering, systems engineering, or operational analysis.
- 5+ years of experience conducting operational or mission analysis and trade-off studies to inform decision-making for capability development, system design, technology investments, or maturation of CONOPs/CONEMPs.
- 5+ years of experience serving in a leadership or deputy role managing cross-functional teams analyzing complex engineering and operational problems.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience communicating complex technical findings to senior leadership, technical/operational experts, and non-technical stakeholders.
- 3+ years of experience developing and executing terms of reference for analyses or studies; analyzing mission architectures/threads; utilizing mission modeling tools (CAMEO, AFSIM); interpreting M&S outputs; and preparing strategic briefings and recommendations.
- 3+ years of experience supporting Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Military Services, Intelligence Community, or OSD organizations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to synthesize raw analytical products into impactful conclusions and recommendations
- Experience integrating systems engineering processes and/or software development methodologies in planning, designing, and analyzing hardware- or software-based systems.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems requiring in-depth analysis of tangible and intangible factors.
- Proven ability to track progress, identify risks, develop mitigations, and maintain effective information flow between team members and leadership.
Desired Experience:
- Experience developing system solutions to complex DoD challenges.
- Experience planning and executing complex mission and systems analysis efforts.
- Experience conducting systems engineering activities including Technology Analysis and Assessment, System Definition, Systems Analysis, Architecture Development, Operational Analysis, and Logistics Support.
- Expertise assessing threat kill chains, identifying vulnerabilities, analyzing mission threads and blue force system kill chains to identify capability gaps and solutions.
- Experience constructing system models, executing simulation and analysis plans, conducting trade studies and sensitivity analyses, and translating results into concise artifacts for multiple audiences.
- Experience interfacing with Joint Staff, Services, and warfighters to coordinate engineering and analytic needs
- Expert-level experience in one or more of the following mission areas: JADC2; C2BMC; Long-Range Fires; Space Operations; Position, Navigation and Timing; Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations; or ISR.
