Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking askilled Nonlinear Optics Technical SETA to support one or more innovative program offices. You will support research efforts aimed at achieving orders-of-magnitude improvements in power efficiency and nonlinear optical performance through advancements in material science, waveguide design, device fabrication, and integrated photonic architectures. These efforts span multiple technical disciplines including optics, integrated photonics, electrical engineering, materials science, applied physics, and semiconductor fabrication. You will provide technical expertise, program management support, stakeholder engagement, and transition planning while assisting the Program Manager with program execution, performer oversight, technology assessments, risk management, and strategic planning activities. You will possess experience with nonlinear optical systems, photonic devices, analog and digital signal processing, communications systems, neural networks, emerging computing architectures, and advanced research and development programs. Travel: Up to 25%  

 

Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required, TS/SCI preferred

 

Required Experience:

 

  • Master’s degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Materials Science, Applied Physics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience supporting advanced technology research and development programs.
  • Demonstrated project management and technical liaison experience.
  • Experience conducting technical assessments, risk analyses, and program reviews.
  • Technical knowledge of nonlinear optics, integrated photonics, optical communications, photonic devices, waveguide technologies, or related fields.
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including technical briefings and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and rapidly changing requirements. 

 

Desired Experience:

 

  • Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, Department of Energy, or other federal R&D organizations.
  • Experience with nonlinear optical materials and devices, second- and third-order nonlinearities, integrated photonic circuits, optical signal processing, or semiconductor fabrication technologies.
  • Familiarity with optical communications, photonic neural networks, analog and digital signal processing, and advanced computing architectures.
  • Experience supporting proposal evaluations, research solicitations, and performer management activities.
  • Experience developing integrated master schedules, technical risk models, and transition strategies.
  • Experience supporting Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) activities.
  • Experience engaging with military services, intelligence agencies, academic institutions, national laboratories, and industry partners.
  • Experience organizing and participating in technical reviews, site visits, demonstrations, and field tests.
  • Familiarity with large language model tools and AI-enabled technical analysis platforms.
