THE OPPORTUNITY
Venterra is building a high-performance accounting and finance team focused on delivering financial insight and value-added analysis. We are blurring the lines of finance and technology to support the company’s rapid growth and expansion efforts. Our organization is in the fortunate position of attracting investment capital and using our track record to grow our business and deliver value to our investors and residents.
Our Property Accounting team is seeking a Property Accountant (PA) who will report to the Property Accounting Manager. The PA will join at an opportune time as we are well-capitalized, expanding into new asset classes, and evaluating new geographies. We are looking for someone with strong financial accounting aptitude, a passion for technology, and a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset to drive process improvement and streamline existing workflow. Our Property Accounting team is on an exciting journey where the month-end cycle is getting shorter and technology is being embedded in everything we do. You will deliver high-quality financial reporting to management, work with technology, and build your accounting, audit, and US tax acumen to support investor needs.
Within our accounting and finance group, you will be exposed to strong leaders with a passion for the business and a relentless drive towards excellence. As you tackle new challenges and grow your skills, you will have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities as the business continues to flourish in an ever-changing external environment.
The Property Accountant role is also a pre-approved position with CPA Ontario that allows CPA students to satisfy all of their CPA Practical Experience Requirements.
