Payroll Associate
Description
USANA Health Sciences is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join the payroll department as a payroll associate. In this position, you will process bi-weekly payroll for the United States and Canada.
As USANA’s Payroll Associate, you will review and solicit approval on all time sheets, update wage and other payroll related changes, process payroll, and prepare payroll journal entries for Canada and the U.S. Your ability to manage your time and work independently will be essential to your success. As you develop in this position, you will become an important player on the payroll team.

What You Will Do as a Payroll Associate
- Process payroll by collecting data, downloading time clocks, transmitting payroll information, reviewing for accuracy and ensuring proper distribution to employees for both the U.S. and Canada
- Update employee records by entering new hires,wage increases, departmental changes, tax information, deductions, direct deposits, etc. on payroll system upon receiving proper authorization
- Prepare journal entry for the monthly payroll accrual and entries related to equity compensation
- Verify and review all changes to the master records made by human resources to ensure all changes have been properly authorized
What You Will Need
- Strong written and oral communication skills required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred
- 2-3 year previous payroll or accounting experience required
- Knowledgeable in creating and posting journal entries
- Working knowledge of payroll system and time clocks
