We are seeking a Director, Program Management to join our team and lead Uplight’s product transformation as we continue to scale our fast growing product and engineering organizations to help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.

What you will contribute:

As our Director, Program Management, you will partner with Product and Engineering leadership to launch a new Program Management Office. You have the opportunity to shape a critical business function that drives our ability to scale our teams, evolve our processes and deliver high impact solutions that drive consumers towards a more sustainable, clean energy future. As a member of the Chief Product Officer leadership team, your charter is to build a culture of continuous improvement that enables transparency, predictability and visibility across Uplight’s Product Lines.

  • Work with product, engineering and business leadership to create a roadmap for organizational change which will enable delivery of products and services which are efficient, user-centered, highly effective, and high quality.
  • This role will be a direct interface to many senior and executive level business and technical partners and must develop strong relationships across the organization to create visibility and accountability with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams of product managers, engineering leads, and product designers to execute and deliver product solutions leveraging rapid and iterative agile frameworks.
  • Escalate impediments and risks to leadership, as necessary, to ensure delivery of program goals.
  • Be a champion for continuous improvement and further maturation of the organization's delivery to support business outcomes.
  • Support the CPO, Product Line, and Engineering leaders in building out Uplight’s internal tooling to support product planning and delivery at scale.
  • Define, track, monitor, and report on portfolio, program and team metrics and overall status of the product portfolio.
  • Accountable for facilitating planning sessions, guiding work efforts, reviewing integrated roadmaps and project plans, escalating and communicating resource needs, ensuring completion of quality reviews, and driving the resolution of issues as appropriate.
  • Responsible for tracking key milestones across multiple product lines and recommending adjustments to the team.

What you bring to Uplight:

  • 8+ years of experience leading transformations at scale in multi-product organizations.
  • A knowledge of Product and Portfolio Management methodologies, Agile frameworks, and a willingness to inspect and adapt to best suit the needs of the organization.
  • Self-motivated leader with experience managing complex cross functional projects.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience leading Program Management Offices and implementing SAFe, Scrum at Scale or similar methodologies.

 Bonus Points:

  • Technical degree in CS or equivalent experience
  • Certifications: SAFe Release Train Engineer, Certified Scrum Master(CSM) andProgram or Project Management Professional (PgMP, PMP) or similar
  • Experience in utilities or other highly regulated fields

Salary Range: $140,000 to $160,000 

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
