Position Overview:
UNIQLO Canada is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Assistant Manager to support end-to-end recruitment for our Retail Store and Head Office teams. This role plays a critical part in attracting top talent, strengthening our employer brand, and delivering a seamless candidate experience.
In addition to recruitment, this position offers hands-on exposure to broader HR functions, including HR Systems, reporting, policies, and special projects – making it an excellent opportunity for a recruiter looking to grow into a well-rounded HR professional withing a global organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Recruitment & Relationship Management:
- Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, hiring timelines, and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.
- Ensure timely, professional communication with candidates throughout the process.
Full-Cycle Recruitment:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process from job posting to offer stage.
- Develop sourcing strategies to identify and attract top talent, utilizing a variety of channels including job boards, social media platforms, employee referrals and networking.
HR Data, Systems & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate employee and candidate records in ATS and HRIS systems.
- Utilize data and analytics to track key recruitment metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare recruitment and HR-related reports as required.
- Assist with compliance documentation and data tracking.
Policy & HR Project Support:
- Support the distribution and maintenance of HR policies and documentation.
- Assist with HR initiatives and projects as assigned by the Talent Acquisition Manager.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, ideally in a fast-paced or high-volume environment.
- Experience recruiting for retail, corporate, or multi-site organizations is an asset.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience using ATS and HRIS systems (Workday experience is an asset).
- Working knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment legislation.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, evolving environment.
- French language proficiency is considered an asset.
