Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Prototype Machinist & Fabricator to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing and prototype environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of verifiable experience operating standard machinist tools and equipment. Additionally, expertise in fabrication techniques—including welding, forming, and machining—using steel, stainless steel, and aluminum is required.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate safely within a production and machine shop environment.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers on prototype designs and development projects.
  • Utilize manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other precision machining tools to produce high-accuracy components, tooling, and prototypes.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to plan machining and fabrication sequences.
  • Fabricate fixtures, prototype models, assemblies, and production tools from steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Support manufacturing by producing production parts, prototypes, and fixtures on schedule.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
  • Follow both written and verbal instructions effectively.
Requirements:
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Proficiency in TIG/MIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum is a plus but not required.
