Location and Reporting Structure:
  
This position is based in Miami and reports to the Engineering Manager.  
  
Position Summary:
 
The Mechanical Engineer plays a vital role in the Engineering/Design/Drafting sphere, focusing on the development and maintenance of new and existing products while providing engineering assistance across all product lines. This role involves learning and applying engineering principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and practices to diagnose issues, propose solutions, and implement improvements.  
  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Collaborating with Designers, Engineers, and cross-functional team members to contribute to various project aspects. 
  • Creating detailed designs, drawings, concepts, and new product mechanisms in both 2D and 3D (proficiency in SolidWorks is required). 
  • Addressing design/drawing challenges to meet specified objectives. 
  • Assisting in maintaining/updating existing 3D Models, 2D Drawings, and manufacturing documentation. 
  • Assisting in the formulation of necessary documentation during development and for transition to production (models, detail drawings, BOM and assembly procedures, etc.). 
  • Supporting custom product requests and liaising with Customer Service, Sales Reps, and clients as needed for various projects. 
  • Assisting in the resolution of mechanical design issues through appropriate corrective actions. 
  • Assisting in research, evaluation, and validation of technologies and/or systems to ensure alignment with product requirements. 
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams from design inception through verification testing to ensure the feasibility, reliability, and scalability of designs. 
  • Assisting in devising methodologies and procedures for testing products or systems to ensure compliance with engineering and customer specifications. 
 Experience and Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 
  • Previous internships or co-op experiences are a plus. 
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling, developing 2D drawings, and creating basic 3D assemblies. 
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks design tables in assemblies and drawings is advantageous. 
  • CNC Programming experience, particularly with Hass CNC Centers and CamWorks, is beneficial. 
  • Strong analytical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and a self-starter mentality. 
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels and departments. 
  • Comfortable working autonomously with supervision while also excelling within a team setting
