Metal Treatment Technician (TES)- 1st Shift

Description

Join a team of professionals where you will be responsible for daily production flow in the metal treatment area.  This is an entry level position with training provided for a general and detailed understanding of each metal treatment process area.

  • Being able to understand, and adhere to the company policies, procedures, and work instructions that apply to this role.
  • Processing metal parts through heat and chemical treatment operation using wash tanks, ovens, furnaces and material handling equipment.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment.  Keep required maintenance logs up to date.
  • Reporting all deviations in equipment performance to supervisor. 
  • Supporting and maintaining overall shop efficiency by keeping work areas clean and safe.
  • Cooperating and coordinating with other personnel for usage of shared shop equipment.
  • Performing other duties as necessary.
Bring Your Expertise:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills with ability to work in a team setting.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic use of MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must have ability to pass medical evaluation for respirator use and abide by requirements for wearing respiratory protection such as a Powered Air Purifying Respirator.
  • Must have the ability to work in elevated temperature environments for short periods of time utilizing protective equipment.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license from his/her state of residence.
  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time while performing duties.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds in a safe manner and request assistance when needed.
