Quality Engineer (TAE) – 1st Shift

Join a team of professionals where you will be responsible for supporting the TAE Assistant Quality Manager in developing and maintaining effective inspection processes and thorough inspection documentation.

▪ Assisting engineering and supporting Assistant Quality Manager in the development of CMM inspection programs and fixturing with the emphasis of streamlining and automating inspection data collection.
▪ Supporting Assistant Quality Manager in the development of production part approval documentation, such as UPAP documentation.
▪ Supporting Assistant Quality Manager in the collection, analysis and electronic submission of aerospace inspection/certification documents for customer approval of part shipment.
▪ Supporting Assistant Quality Manager in documentation of nonconformances in both the quality management system software and in customer format (i.e. eQN, etc.).
▪ Supporting Assistant Quality Manager in the writing of process documentation including MOS, and inspection related work instructions.
▪ Supporting Corporate SPC Specialist in implementing Statistical Process Controls both in the production areas and final inspection (with data provided directly from CMM). This includes working with operators and inspectors to ensure proper application of SPC to effectively control processes.
▪ Maintaining adequate near vision by means of an annual test (per the requirements of Work Instruction WIQA.04).
▪ Supporting the company mission statement.
▪ Complying with established safety practices and is proactive in communicating potential safety hazards to the Safety Committee.
▪ Performing other duties as necessary.
Bring Your Expertise:
▪High school diploma or equivalent.
▪Two year technical degree, minimum. Four year BS degree, preferred.
▪Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100.
▪Working knowledge of ANSI Y14.5.
▪CMM and DCC experience preferred.
▪Working knowledge of statistical process control and root cause analysis.
▪Functionality in Windows, Word, Excel, Mastercam, OpenDMIS and blade
analysis software.
▪Working understanding of geometry, trigonometry and algebra as applied to mechanical and CMM measurements.
▪Able to multitask.
▪Vision for process improvement.

▪Team leader, able to direct employees and resolve any differences.
▪Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
