Automation Engineer (TAPS) – 1st Shift
Description
Join a team of professionals where you will be responsible for designing, programming, simulating and testing of automated machinery and processes in order to complete exact tasks. This includes manufacturing and facility related requirements. This position will primarily focus on integration of new machine tending systems to support production business units.

- Working with internal customers to generate quotes and business cases for potential work.
- Working with internal customers to define project scope and key metrics for new work and system upgrades.
- Define action items required to complete work according to the agreed-upon scope, metrics, timeline, and cost.
- Providing engineering support for the design of new work and system upgrades including mechanical, electrical, and program design.
- Providing engineering support for simulation, implementation, and testing of new work and system upgrades.
- Creating necessary documentation for the purposes of maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Driving research and development of new technologies and standards in order to drive cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Maintaining knowledge of TURBOCAM manufacturing and automation capabilities.
- Performing other duties as necessary.
Bring Your Expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering or related discipline such as Mechanical, Industrial, Robotics or Systems Integration Engineering.
- Experience in the manufacturing automation, programming Logic Controllers (PLC) and troubleshooting control system issues preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word and Excel.
- High level of mechanical and electronic aptitude and proficiency. Strong analytical skills.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. in a safe manner and on a frequent basis.
- Must have range of motion sufficient to permit climbing stairs, walking, standing, stooping and crouching for extended periods of time while performing duties.
