Total Wine & More is seeking a Manager, Merchandise Pricing to join Merchandising team in our Bethesda, MD office. You will evaluate and execute a pricing strategy for a complex and expansive portfolio of products across multiple markets and improve pricing process. You will also be responsible for pricing all national brand products in over 100 stores with help from three pricing analysts and work on pricing system automation. You will work with other departments including Merchandising, Market Management, Marketing, and Store Operations, which makes this is an excellent opportunity to learn about many aspects of our unique business and impact profitability. You will report to the Director, Pricing.

 

You will 

  • Lead a team of three pricing associates and ensure they have the tools and capabilities for success
  • Support development of overall pricing strategy by market and product segment
  • Review national brand pricing strategy and re-price items based on changes in cost and competitive environment
  • Analyze competitive prices and their trend and recommend pricing changes for each market weekly
  • Manage pricing compliance process for all states daily
  • Review effectiveness of pricing actions weekly
  • Support pricing automation project to enable us to quickly react to cost and competitive changes
  • Direct team in conducting ad hoc merchandising and pricing analysis for senior executives

You will come with 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years' experience in retail pricing, promotions, and merchandising analytics
  • Team management experience (could be indirect)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of retail metrics and financial analysis
  • Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and data management
  • Project management, prioritization, and organizational skills

The exempt min to mid compensation range for this position is $77,100 - $171,000. Compensation may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills and/or experience.
