Total Wine & More is looking for a Senior Manager, Benefits to join our Human Resources team in our Bethesda, MD office. You will support the vision and strategy for our enterprise benefits programs including health & welfare, wellness, voluntary and retirement. You will envision the future of benefits while overseeing the execution of strategy, along with managing a team of benefits professionals. You will report to the Director, Total Rewards. 
  
You will 
  • Execute the Benefits vision and strategy in support of TWM’s mission to include benchmarking activities, assisting with RFP’s and supporting the creation of short-term and long-term strategies.
  • Design an effective benefits communications approach that ensures all employees
  • develop and maintain a clear understanding of our offerings, policies, and milestones. 
  • Evaluate and implement accountability measures for our benefits vendors to ensure it meets TWM’s future needs. Manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal return in investment; assist with negotiations and annual contract renewals with vendors and carriers 
  • Partner with benefits and retirement administrators to maintain compliance with federal/state regulations – ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, ACA, ADA and others. 
  • Lead complex, cross-functional projects by developing clear requirements, deliverables, tasks, and constraints mitigation process. 
  • Administer all employer provided benefits plans, voluntary plans, the wellness program, and other projects that align with our culture and support the strategic plan. 
  • Serve as a regular contact for internal team members, vendors, and management. 
  • Lead benefit plan renewal activity and benefit plan open enrollment including communications, and coordination with vendors and payroll. 
  • Oversee the leave administration process, relocation, and other ancillary plans. 
  • Partner with finance to proactively forecast and manage health and welfare budget. 
  • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement and customer service. 
You will come with
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related fields or equivalent years of experience
  • 7+ years in Benefits/Total Rewards experience, 3+ years of people leadership experience
    Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to employee benefits
  • Previous experience leading full cycle enterprise Annual Enrollment process for 10,000+ team member organizations
  • Experience in a self-insured/funding benefits organization preferred
  • Knowledge of/experience with total rewards, including compensation, a plus.

The exempt compensation range for this position is $96,400 - $204,400. Compensation may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills and/or experience.
