 Hybrid schedule - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
Are you passionate about fashion trends and using data to drive product decisions? As an Associate Merchant, you’ll support the development of compelling, brand-right assortments by identifying opportunities, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with cross-functional partners. This role is instrumental in helping to shape the product strategy and delivering on sales and margin goals.

What You'll Do:
 
  • Support seasonal merchandising strategies that align with company financial goals and brand direction.
  • Analyze sales, inventory, and market trends to identify key opportunities and influence assortment decisions.
  • Assist in building and executing balanced assortments that meet customer demand and reflect current trends.
  • Partner closely with Product Development and Sourcing to manage timelines, monitor delivery flow, and support quality control.
  • Maintain and update assortment tools and buy plans, ensuring accuracy and alignment with OTB and line plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Planning, Allocation, Visual, Marketing, and eComm to bring product to market successfully.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and whitespace opportunities.
  • Contribute to vendor and internal product meetings by preparing relevant insights and recaps.
  • Support the Merchant in identifying pricing strategies and managing IMU goals.
  • Perform research analysis of the plus-size market to identify trends and opportunities, tailoring insights to enhance the core customer’s experience and identify new growth opportunities and business strategies.
What You'll Need: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience. 
  • 2 plus years of progressive vertical retail buying experience, including fashion categories.
  • Proven experience with data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.

  • Strong understanding of fashion trends, customer behavior, and market dynamics.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication, critical thinking, decision-making, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to build strong business partnerships both internally and externally and demonstrate adaptability and flexibility as business strategies change.
  • Strong sense of style and ability to carry out a strategic vision.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment with competing priorities. 
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for fashion.

 Salary range:  $70,000 – $82,000
