Human Resources Specialist - Payroll
Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provide front line customer service support to all DC employees with Human Resources questions, suggestions, issues, and concerns
- Work directly with HQ Payroll Team and Dimensions Admin Team
- Supports team members with various HR functions
- Supports team members with Dimensions functions and questions, including time punch entry, time punch edits. payroll additions and corrections
- Daily audits of missing hours report, missing punch report and Flex Time Off (FTO) report to ensure accuracy for payroll submission
- Coordinates and distributes company years-of-service service awards
- Assists in the EVerify process and audits all associate status changes in HRIS system, including promotions, demotions, transfers, payrate changes, and terminations
- Verifies new hire paperwork for accuracy/completeness, including I-9, EVerify documentation and follow up as needed
- Assist in annual performance management process, including, but not limited to, performance review maintenance in HRIS system
- Assists in maintaining all associate files, HR paperwork, and distributes HR mail
- Assist HQ HR Admin Team with responses to unemployment claims, including providing documentation and hearing representation
- Facilitate New Hire Orientation when needed.
- Deliver training materials as needed to DC departments.
- Assist with Administer LOA’s, including working with HQ benefits department for benefit payment collection.
- Ensures records are maintained in accordance with SOX, government and company compliance.
- Performs other job duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Graduate, GED or equivalent required, some college preferred.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a Payroll function and/or HR Generalist role. Strong decision-making skills.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Experience with UKG, Dimensions and CORE preferred.
- Strong Time Management Skills, including the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and effectively working in a team environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (with or without reasonable accommodation)
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and lift/move up to 10 pounds. May lift/move up to 30 pounds occasionally.
