About the team
Join a technically focused team operating at the intersection of TiVo OS and our OEM partners (e.g., Sharp, Thomson, Vestel).
The core responsibility is to adapt the TiVo OS platform—starting from the Linux kernel through to the application layer—to meet the specific integration and performance requirements of TV manufacturers. This includes system configuration, feature enablement, and debugging across the full software stack. In this role, you'll get to be the primary technical interface for partner-reported issues, driving root cause analysis and resolution in close collaboration with internal engineering teams. Expect deep hands-on involvement with Smart TV hardware, embedded systems, and cross-functional development environments
 
What you will get to do: 
  • Customise and configure TiVo OS by modifying Linux images using the Yocto framework
  • Generate, manage, and securely handle cryptographic keys
  • Investigate software issues and provide technical support to TV manufacturing partners
  • Implement and maintain tools for scalability and automated provisioning of our system
  • Implement and maintain automated tests for manufacturer-specific features and configurations
What We’re Looking For 
  • Strong communication skills in English (minimum B2 level, written and spoken)
  • Proactive and inquisitive mindset—comfortable asking questions and seeking clarity
  • Solid experience with Linux systems
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments
  • Experience with Linux-based embedded systems development
  • Experience in software engineering
  • Experience in C/C++ and Python
  • Familiarity with Git for version control
  • Ability to triage and debug complex software issues
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Yocto  or building custom Linux distributions
  • Exposure to customer-facing or partner-support environments
  • Knowledge of cryptographic key management practices
  • Bash scripting skills
  • Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and web technologies
  • Experience with project and delivery tools (e.g., Jira, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
  • Understanding/interest in electronics
