WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR  
  
Are you an environmental designer with a passion for creating renders for physical and digital spaces? Do you have the vision and industry experience designing 3D concepts and renders for pitches?  Fine tuning, editing, and collaborating with fabricators and technical teams to create design intent documents, read shop drawings and be a part of the onsite execution experience? If you are collaborative, have expert ability to partner with a larger team to bring an idea to life, and you feel that you are the perfect candidate with the portfolio to back it up, then we want to meet you. 
  
Opus Agency is searching for a Sr. Environmental Designer who is skilled at their craft. 
You’ll be working closely with creative directors, executive producers, project managers, producers, technical directors, and strategists. You’ll be asked to craft immersive and engaging experiences for some of the world’s biggest brands. 
  
YOU SHOULD HAVE  
  • 5+ years of experience as a designer, with a background in environmental design, brand, spatial design, and visual storytelling. 
  • Experience in all stages of the design process including identifying strategic insights and working closely with engineers and producers to turn your concept into reality  
  • Proven ability to manage multiple creative projects from inception to completion. 
  • Ability to integrate with various disciplines and collectively build presentation and executional drawings including floor plans, perspective interiors, elevations, 3D fixtures, print, and digital media. 
  • An understanding of creative technology integration and collaboration with tech and production partners. 
  • Experience working with a diverse range of materials, finishes, graphic applications, lighting design, and fabrication methods to create innovative and inviting spaces. 
  • Working knowledge of industry standards around modular booth structures and systems. 
  • Strong presentation skills and an ability to articulate a vision with the ideas you create. 
  • A keen sense of project flow, ensuring creative projects meet established timelines while identifying and resolving project challenges. 
  • Proficiency in SketchUp and rendering engines is required; experience with Unreal Engine, Cinema 4D, and Vector works is a plus 
  • Solid visualization and design skills like in programs like InDesign, Illustrator, and Figma. 
  • Outstanding organizational skills, efficiency in work flow, attention to detail and follow-up 
  • An active interest for the latest trends in design, culture, and innovation. 
  
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Environmental design for keynote, expo, product launches, brand activations, conferences and roadshows, broadcast sets, and industry events. 
  • Execute detailed 3D visualizations such as floor plans, perspective interiors, elevations, and 3D fixtures that are grounded in a strong strategic POV. 
  • Partner closely with a larger experiential team to ensure that we are consistently and collaboratively bringing a big idea to life across the entire program. 
  • Present and guide clients through spatial concepts

HOW WE’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU  
 
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting salary for this role is between $115,000 and $140,000. Our salary ranges are based on third-party national average market compensation analysis. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
