Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Supplier Subcontracts Program Manager, in this role you will work within a multidisciplinary team to manage the execution of customer contracts & subcontracts. The Supplier Subcontracts Program Manager owns the supplier and internal customer relationship, organizes internal engineering and support organizations to support subcontract obligations, manages external subcontracts to include the manufacturing and related test/qualification activities. A successful Supplier Subcontracts Program Manager executes on-time, on-budget delivery of their projects and Subcontracts. The objective of the Supplier Subcontract Program Manager is to deliver affordable, high performance space systems, and the supporting subcontracts.     

Key Duties and Responsibilities     

  • Maintain and/or generate project schedules, action item lists, risk analysis, subcontract management plans, project staffing plans, and budgets (direct costs, subcontracts, travel, etc.) to effectively monitor, control and report subcontract status. 
  • Participate in customer meetings to define and refine requirements.  
  • Report program updates regularly to the executive team and customers. 
  • Lead, track all internal and external deliverables, prepare and present formal and informal design and progress reviews. 
  • Generate proposals/scope of work based on customer requirements. 
  • Manage the supplier relationship and work closely with members of the program team, engineering, manufacturing, and peer teams, to ensure our systems & subcontracts meet all requirements and achieve all milestones, while staying within strict budgetary  
  • Negotiate, draft, and manage subcontracts of differing dollar values, risk, and complexity (T&M, CPFF, FP, subaward, etc.) with US and foreign entities, ensuring compliance on cost, schedule, legal, and performance aspects under general supervision.  
  • Provide strategy and advise internal stakeholders on subcontract issues in support of company business operations.  
  • Support new business development initiatives including: proposal support, teaming, pricing, and long-term agreements.  
  • Manage the pre-award activities to include reviewing the Client RFP to assess subcontracting risks, reviewing, and ensuring RFPs to subcontractors and evaluating responses, lead negotiating price and terms and conditions with subcontractors, and supporting proposal team reviews.  
  • Manage, delegate special projects and process improvement activities with company-wide impact. 

Qualifications and Skills:     

  •  A minimum of 8+ years of experience in subcontracts administration, program office in an aerospace or technical contractor or equivalent work experience. 
  • Must have good understanding of FAR regulations and how they relate to subcontract management as well as experience managing various types of subcontracts including IDIQ, CPAF, CPFF, T&M, and FFP. 
  • Must be able to develop and maintain professional relationships with peers, suppliers and customers, and contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, teamwork and a positive attitude. 
  • Demonstrated reputation for delivering unique, high-complexity systems, leading military/defense, aerospace/spacecraft programs.  
  • Proven ability to deliver on-time and on-budget  
  • Experience with rapid development projects. 
  • Ability to define and utilize metrics, develop program schedules, and control budgets to manage program activities. 
  • Demonstrated teamwork and written/oral communications skill. 
  • Ability to communicate across organizational boundaries and levels. 
  • Demonstrated employee management experience and proficiency in task management. 
  • Ability to help organize and manage a team of personnel, develop program schedules, and control budgets to meet required deadlines. 
  • Meticulous attention to detail 
  • Per the requirement of certain Terran Orbital facilities, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI Security Clearance and all special accesses required to work at such facilities. 


  • Bachelor's degree is preferred; preferably in engineering, business, finance, or a related field with

Salary Range $100,000 - $170,000     
Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Physical Demands      

An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. This position is generally sedentary, with substantial computer usage.     

Work Environment     

The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
