Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Production Control Coordinator to join our team. This position acts as the key liaison between our internal customer, management and shop floor personnel regarding resources needed to efficiently manufacture components from raw material stock. This is a non-exempt position with high accountability for maintaining our production flow and meeting our on-time delivery. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the inbound supply chain of resources for the manufacturing of satellite components
  • Ensure that the shop floor has resources (tooling, Material, etc.) to support the production schedule while reducing inventory investment
  • Assist in determining raw material quantity needs based on combination of production demand forecast, historical usage, pipeline inventory level, and other key inputs
  • Maintain order and inventory status information up to date in the system
  • Work with suppliers to ensure lead-times, safety stock levels and order quantities correct and resolve and or mitigate any supply chain issues concerning resources needed
  • Understand the operational processes of the machine shop floor
  • Works on a wide variety of complex planning activities where material and other resource requirements are a variable in keeping production flow moving smoothly
  • Participates in production meetings to facilitate the coordination of important issues including manufacturing resources and production on time delivery
  • Retrieves, compiles data and reports resource need to management to procure necessary resources for efficient flow of production
  • Work and perform responsibilities in compliance with safety guidelines and wearing all PPE as needed for equipment interaction
  • Comfortable task switching and managing multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Performs in a dynamic and challenging environment with drive and creativity.
  • Provides technical assistance or training to less experienced personnel. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

 

 Qualification and Skills

  • 4 years of proven work experience as a Production Control Coordinator or similar role
  • Understanding of supply chain, production flow and manufacturing processes
  • Computer savvy with an understanding of Microsoft office 365 tools
  • Understanding of flow of production in a machine shop environment
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
  • Good communication abilities
  • High school diploma and related training preferred

Salary Range $30.00-$36.00 per hour 

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Physical Demands

An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. This position is generally sedentary, with substantial computer usage.

Work Environment

The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
