Payroll Manager (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for the delivery of the monthly payroll for our European based employees
  • Drive the development of standard operating procedures and be actively involved in projects to enhance payroll processes and related programs
  • Ensure systems and payments are compliant with legislative, contractual guidelines
  • Manage all payroll queries in a professional and accurate manner
  • Monitor and keep the team updated on changes to payroll related legislation
  • Liaise regularly with our payroll providers to ensure the payroll process runs smoothly and accurately each month
  • Maintain relationships with health insurance companies, insurance companies, offices and authorities (e.g. for company pension schemes BAV)
  • Prepare monthly and year-end reconciliations and deliver accurate reports to Finance (e.g. vacation and bonus provisions)
  • Be part of the global HR team and contribute to the continuous improvement of our HR, processes, initiatives and services
  • Oversee payroll related topics for our international assignments
  • Ensure GDPR compliance for internal and external data

What you bring

  • Proven experience preparing end-to-end payroll in a German company. Other European payroll experience is an advantage
  • Ability to work in a busy environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication abilities with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Fluency in German and English is mandatory
