Who you are: Do you have a proven track record in INTERNAL, CORPORATE RECRUITMENT? This role is for those with internal recruiting experience only (not agency, not firms, not C2C)

Are you able to create effective sourcing strategies, communicate clearly with data, and prioritize effectively? Do you have a reputation for being exceptional at candidate generation, client/account management and understand the value of providing remarkable customer service? 

If you have experience in managing a team of Recruiters plus your own 7 to 9 searches simultaneously - you may be a fit for this role. 

You’ll need
excellent interpersonal skills & the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels plus an uncanny organizational capacity with a self-starter mentality.

What you’ll do: As the SWZD Assoc Director of Recruiting, you will manage a team of 4-5 of technical and non-technical recruitment team members to execute against Talent Acquisition strategies to deliver talent at scale, in particular in Asia Pacific (with a focus on India). This role is highly impactful; You will work closely with high level business leaders to support all job families within HR teams to hire the best talent. This leader must be self-driven, who can develop strong relationships and facilitate the learning/professional journeys of Recruiters on the team. You will use your resourcefulness, customer-obsessed personality, team-orientation, and will have the ability to manage high resource demands under ambiguous time constraints deadlines.

This is not the role for someone with ego or someone who is not interested in rolling up their sleeves - this role is deeply involved and very visible at the org-level in our Recruiting efforts.

What will be your responsibilities? 

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand business needs, create an effective job description and design and communicate a valuable recruitment strategy to include target companies for recruiting passive candidates, sourcing, employee referrals, associations, universities and postings.
  • Assess potential candidates, screen, and interview and prepare a slate of qualified candidates to hiring managers. Manage continuous communication with the hiring manager and report search progress and recommend solutions to successfully find quality candidates.
  • Facilitate the hiring process, negotiate salary and prepare candidate for on-boarding activities lead by the HRBP
  • Maintain relationships with hires to ensure their success in their new jobs.
  • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive market research and on-going relationship management.
  • Participate in networking, professional, and university events that promote Ziff Davis
  • Institute ideas and strategies that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine tuning standard processes for recruiting that deliver the highest quality results to the hiring manager and company.
  • Prepare reports on findings while illustrating data with graphs and tables during weekly hiring status and monthly reviews
  • Drive sourcing and recruiting capability & capacity across our team to proactively build diverse candidate pools while leveraging all available talent channels to expedite the recruitment of bar raising talent.
  • Work closely with HR Business, partnering teams, and HR leaders to influence and deliver a quality assessment and candidate experience through all aspects of the recruitment funnel.
  • Partner with key stakeholders (Business Leaders, Hiring Managers, and HR Business Partners) to determine future talent needs and set and drive enabling sourcing strategies; this requires a deep understanding through extensive market research of the channels (both domestic US and internationally) where we can find the best, diverse talent who fit our technical and cultural demands.
  • Build, engage, manage and develop a team of high-performing recruiters in an extremely fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Set team performance goals and metrics, timelines and a formal tracking process to measure and manage progress.
  • Develop and execute plans to identify and drive productivity improvements that enable the team to deliver to hiring goals without having to scale deployed resources at a rate faster than the business is growing.
  • Lead and/or participate in cross-business/cross-company special projects and initiatives related to talent acquisition.
  • Measure the effectiveness of recruitment advertising efforts, talent attraction marketing campaigns and Recruiter communications strategies

What does it take to do this job?

  • Prepare reports on talent market findings while illustrating data with graphs, tables, 
  • 5+ years managing and developing employees in an internal Recruiting function
  • Strong writing, presenting skills
  • Creativity in problem solving
  • Upbeat attitude – approaches challenges as opportunities
  • Knowledge/experience with technology marketing and the technology landscape
  • Familiarity/acumen with ATS (Jobvite preferred, Google Sheets, and sourcing tools (SeekOut, LeadIQ, etc)
