Who you are:

We are in search of a Director of Product Management that has the ability to define and drive the direction of distinct products within the Spiceworks Audience portfolio. A strong people manager capable of supporting, coaching, growing, and inspiring various product focused team members to ensure a focus on ownership and execution. A passionate and creative product leader delivering an exceptional customer experience to serve the business goals. An individual that actively reaches across the business to gather actionable data, unites groups under company goals, refines product vision and fundamentally evolves the products to improve audience retention and growth.

What will be your responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product vision and strategy for the Spiceworks audience product portfolio and products within it -  our ITSM application suite, Spiceworks Community and Spiceworks News and Insights editorial brand.
  • Oversee and be accountable for the success and impact of the portfolio of product lines and their alignment with the longer term vision/strategic roadmap
  • Participate in the formation of product strategies and roadmaps driving audience growth and retention
  • Recruit, grow and maintain a strong and effective team of product managers who are responsible for the product roadmap and execution against the roadmap
  • Leverage data to prioritize and drive decision making across the portfolio
  • Regularly present data and action-based analysis and reports to stakeholders to inform internal and competitive strategy
  • Direct structured experiments and support them with tracking, analysis, and creative problem solving
  • Ability to build strong cross-team relationships and ensure that our processes are working and adapting to the business needs, seek out growth opportunities and execute these
  • Develop and manage roadmaps for product offerings, integrating the product strategy, inclusive of timelines, risks, and dependencies
  • Gather and support prioritization of product requirements, providing recommendations, as appropriate
  • Create and maintain strategic partnerships, industry knowledge, product advancement and innovation
  • Responsible for communicating and reinforcing the larger product strategy across the organization
  • Cultivate a strong product culture across the organization and within the executive team - ensuring buy-in on the roles & responsibilities of product managers as well as cross-functional product processes
  • Ensure the product organization is aligned with the company’s organizational goals


What does it take to do this job:

  • 7+ years of program/product management experience with 3 years as a manager
  • Extensive product lifecycle knowledge acquired through hands-on experience shipping several, large-scale digital products, ideally in the B2B markets
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, scrum, usability testing
  • Experience with data to drive decision making and monitor product health and progress to goals
  • Experience/instincts for information architecture, UX and product design
  • Experience working with geographically distributed and fully remote teams and stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, proactive and clear communications to a variety of audiences.
