Your day-to-day

The Sales & Marketing Effectiveness Analyst is a highly visible role interacting with leading technology users and vendors. Among the responsibilities for the role are:

  • Track and monitor emerging trends and technologies within the sales and marketing technology landscape. Key topics include:
    • B2B sales effectiveness / enablement 
    • B2B marketing effectiveness
    • B2B marketing automation
    • CRM
    • Field service practices and technologies
  • Conduct market research on technology trends and business processes (surveys, qualitative in-depth interviews)
  • Analyze research findings and draw inferences and conclusions in response to the research query
  • Write cohesive reports that illustrate the learnings, and build content that educates the community
  • Present your findings (by phone, in-person and in industry conferences) to technology end-users, software vendors and the marketplace
  • Build and manage a technology vendor landscape to track market trends and maintain a research editorial calendar
  • Conduct statistical analysis from data collected
  • Actively contribute to relevant client engagements related to sales discovery and/or strategic relationship building

Must have qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in in the sector as:
    • industry analyst covering sales/marketing effectiveness
    • researcher at firm covering B2B sales/marketing effectiveness
    • solutions consultant
    • product marketer for B2B software vendors in CRM
    • sales enablement or CRM practitioner at a B2B tech firm
  • Experience in producing written industry analysis
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills (presenting to and interfacing with clients)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (kind of goes without saying, but we’re saying it anyway)
  • BS or higher with a strong record of academic achievement
  • Highly proficient in using workplace productivity software such as Microsoft Office products

 

Some great to haves:

  • Experience in managing and delivering customer projects
  • Marketing experience with a technology company 
  • Ability to take complex, disparate ideas and distill them into simple and provocative concepts generating thought-leadership for the technology buyers and providers
