What you’ll do: 

 

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Global FP&A, this role will be instrumental in formulating the business's medium to long term financial and strategic plan and work with Business Unit heads to build their annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Partner with cross-functional business counterparts to develop annual business plans and analyze year-to-date performance and historical trends; collaborate with responsible parties to develop action plans to close any identified gaps.
  • Provide insights to senior management around forecasts and profitability, communicating reasons behind the product/department performance utilizing financial modeling
  • Provide detailed analysis and commentary on financial results, evaluate previous budgets and expenditures to develop and implement future budgets, review operations and recommend new productivity or cost saving initiatives 
  • Prepare business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions 
  • Play a key role in establishing an analytical and data-driven culture within the organization, providing data and insights to business leaders and uncovering opportunities to drive business growth and value.



What will be your responsibilities? 

 

  • Analyze financial and operational results to better understand company performance 
  • Create and organize spreadsheets and checklists to streamline accounting-related tasks and communicate with Accounting to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Create and manipulate reports to analyze expenses, revenue, and planning information, working closely with the global team to understand daily operations.
  • Share ideas for process improvements and governance of data, and business workstreams, contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
  • Ownership of reporting and metrics analysis (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Assist with the monthly close process by downloading actuals and comparing to budget and forecast. Provide variance explanations to help operating areas as well as our financial operations understand the drivers of our business each month.
  • Utilize BI tools to delivery meaningful insights into business performance 



What does it take to do this job? 
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a major in finance or accounting
  • 3-5 years of relevant finance/strategy experience in digital media or publishing, must be well versed in e-commerce metrics  (Click through Fill Rate, Sell Through Rate, Conversion Rate, GMV, AOV, etc)
  • Excellent communication; ability to distill complex analyses into structured outputs and present to all levels of management
  • Track record of successfully delivering analyses that drive tactical and strategic decision-making
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience building operating models and analyzing large data sets
  • Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize, and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
  • Oracle, Salesforce, Tableau, Looker experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
