SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for coordinating Major modifications, STC development/installations and Avionic related task within a major inspection;
- Participate in all meetings related to the assigned major project;
- Will work closely with the Heavy Maintenance Coordinator and the Project Manager;
- Have oversight and participate in the full scope of work while managing project flow;
- Support electrical and structural engineering requirements and STC development;
- Review work packages and coordinate all requirements regarding materials, parts, tooling, and outside services;
- Identify and track milestones with Project Manager/Heavy Maintenance Coordinator;
- Participate in problem-solving and finding solutions;
- Assess identified defects and provide information to rectify as applicable;
- Complete relevant technical documentation;
- Support purchasing when applicable;
- Liaise with the Line Maintenance Coordinator for workload and labour requirements;
- Liaise with Avionic Shop Coordinator for workload and labour requirements;
- Monitor the condition of the Avionic shop, shop equipment and specialized tooling;
- Oversight of Avionic shop procedures and completion of work
- Review work orders to ensure labour targets are being met in the Avionic Shop;
- Participate in review of work packages, billing groups and invoices for accuracy;
- Ensure Log releases are prepared after Major mod or STC installation;
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Post-secondary diploma in Aircraft Maintenance/ Avionics program or related field;
- Valid Transport Canada E license is required;
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience as an endorsed avionic technician
- 5 years of related experience in avionics project installation would be an asset;
- Background in working on Business Aircraft types would be an asset;
- Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate strong organizational skills;
- Ability to work as a team leader, coupled with supervisory experience, would be an asset;
- Must be attentive to details;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Flexible to work shifts assigned.
