JOB DUTIES
Project Managers – Procurement for Aurora, IL location. Responsible for private brand roadmap strategy and execution. Analyze product life cycles including new category opportunities for expansion. Manage multiple RFI/RFP/RFQs to ensure the private brand is positioned as an extreme value in the market. Drive inventory and production strategy for the company. Take ownership of Private Brand strategy including product life cycle management to maximize sales, revenue, market share and profit margins. Understand multiple product category nuances and opportunities within each for private brand expansion. Identify and select potential new supplier sources, including import opportunities and help manage and develop all aspects of vendor relations. Conduct multiple RFI/RFP/RFQ to ensure Shorr is positioned near best in class on private brand items including supply chain efficiencies. Work with and assist Inventory Planners on a nationwide stocking strategy. Technical skills: RFP/RFQ’s; price negotiations; vendor compliance; negotiating multimillion-dollar nationwide contracts for packaging supplies; knowledge of packaging supplies including corrugated, stretch film, tapes, pallets, labels and mailers; knowledge of packaging equipment including case erectors, void fill machines, tapers and material handling equipment such as forklifts, stretch wrappers, tapers, conveyors; inventory management for $100+ million inventory.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field plus five years of progressive experience in the job offered or with supply chain logistics required.
- Required Skills: RFP/RFQ’s; price negotiations; vendor compliance; negotiating multimillion-dollar nationwide contracts for packaging supplies; knowledge of packaging supplies including corrugated, stretch film, tapes, pallets, labels and mailers; knowledge equipment including case erectors, void fill machines, tapers and material handling equipment such as forklifts, stretch wrappers, tapers, conveyors, inventory management for $100+ million inventory. Background check and drug test required. Telecommuting permitted. 30% travel required.
