The Microsoft 365 Engineer will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade solutions within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and hybrid identity environments. This role encompasses administration of O365, OneDrive, Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID, SharePoint, Windows Hello for Business, and passkey authentication, as well as oversight of hybrid Active Directory and governance enforcement.
Additional responsibilities include light management of AWS workloads and ensuring security and backup best practices. The position requires a strong focus on innovation through artificial intelligence (AI), serving as an AI evangelist to guide responsible adoption of Generative AI across security, infrastructure, and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain M365 services including O365, OneDrive, Intune, Autopilot, SharePoint, and Entra ID.
- Configure and manage Windows Hello for Business and passkey authentication for secure access.
- Oversee hybrid Active Directory environments ensuring seamless integration and identity synchronization.
- Establish and enforce operating standards, governance, and best practices across all responsible platforms.
- Manage and support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans across hybrid environments.
- Support and provide input on IT projects with direction, expertise, and experience.
- Provide light management of AWS workloads supporting business applications.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams on backup strategies and security posture for cloud and on-prem environments.
- Implement security controls aligned with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with security teams to ensure identity and access management integrity within Entra ID and hybrid AD.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration and/or engineering required.
- Strong knowledge of Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with Windows Hello for Business and Passkey authentication methods.
- Experience with AWS cloud services (light management).
- Understanding backup strategies and security best practices.
- Proven track record of leveraging AI tools and technologies in a professional setting.
- Strong background in hybrid identity management, including synchronization between on-prem Active Directory and Entra ID.
- Proven ability to design and maintain hybrid infrastructure combining on-premises systems with cloud services.
- Advanced scripting and automation skills using PowerShell for M365 and AWS tasks.
- Participation in cloud migration projects, security hardening, and compliance initiatives.
