Position Summary:

Shorr Packaging Corporation is experiencing tremendous growth and as we scale to meet customer demand we are adding an inside sales team. We are currently looking for an Inside Sales Manager who will be responsible for building a world class inside sales team from the ground up.  The team will cross-sell and upsell to our existing customer base, manage inbound sales channels, outbound calling campaigns, and acquire new customers for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Chief Commercial Officer to build an inside sales strategy
  • Hire, train, manage, and provide leadership to your team through coaching, mentoring, directing, etc.
  • Create and deliver compelling, customized sales presentations that address our customer’s core business issues and identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with other Shorr employees to ensure alignment and integration of sales strategies, projects and programs for successful implementation and execution.
  • Work with internal Shorr teams to develop the commercial approach and negotiate contracts and terms for renewals and new contracts
  • Move existing customers up the Shorr value chain by cross selling and upselling solutions into the client base
  • Manage inbound and outbound calling campaigns, as well as tradeshow and conference follow up
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership for client targeting & selection strategy, team assignment coverage and business plan implementation
  • Assist commercial management team to develop internal and external relationships and identifying new market opportunities
  • Build a pipeline of new accounts for the business by cold calling into designated territory
  • Serve as the initial point of contact externally to uncover and clarify prospect needs, align business objectives with Shorr's new portfolio of products, refine and propose a solution.
  • . Collaborate with Marketing to drive business results for leads and lead management in support of effective prospecting and client engagement activities
  • Partner with Account Executives to heighten customer communication and maintain efficient processes
  • Drive development of strong internal relationships with commercial partners and operational teams
  • Gather and share market intelligence and competitive information with key stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Provides team performance data and KPI’s to senior management to ensure transparency and awareness of results
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing an inside sales team and program
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a complex sales environment through inside sales, account management, or business development
  • Demonstrated customer retention through superior communication skills
  • Ability to manage difficult customer and/or financial situations
  • Experience developing and executing strategic business plans
  • Strong collaboration skills with a results-driven mindset
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in leading and presenting to executives and senior levels of the client organization
  • Polished PowerPoint presentation skills
