Reporting to the CFO, the director of finance will be responsible for financial projects and analysis, coordination of budgeting activities, identification, and implementation of technologies to drive financial decision making, ensuring the timely delivery of accurate reports to stakeholders, and aiding in the establishment of sound policies and procedures. The director of finance will be supported by two controllers: one in Israel and one in the US and should have a strong understanding of US GAAP. Candidate should have a strong work ethic, work independently, and have a take charge attitude. 




  • Lead projects that require qualitative and quantitative accounting analytical skills
  • Build and maintain financial models that provide critical business intelligence and actionable financial insights
  • In partnership with the CFO, controllers and department heads, drive annual budgeting, periodic reforecasting and planning processes, including preparation, review and analysis, assigning department specific budgets, and tracking monthly/quarterly actuals vs. budget
  • Deliver clear and concise reports and presentations for different stakeholders, including the board, senior leadership team, investors and other strategic/financial partners
  • Leverage and evolve existing organization tools and systems to establish and report on metrics used to drive the business to greater efficiency
  • Identify and onboard the company’s financial tools and technologies. In the intermediate term, drive the implementation of NetSuite.
  • Build and maintain accounting policies and financial controls
  • Help ensure the integrity of the underlying books and records of, and oversee consolidated, local, statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements for three legal entities
  • Provide finance decision support by proactively identifying critical business questions, drive key business analytics
  • Support the development and implementation of technical accounting policies
  • Participate in the impact assessment and implementation of newly issued US GAAP accounting standards
  • Lead, supervise, and coach a small team

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in finance and accounting functions, preference for candidates with a successful track record rapidly scaling early stage businesses
  • 2+ years experience managing and building a team in a high-growth business
  • Strong financial and accounting skills; thorough understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis; solid understanding of ASC 606 as it relates to software businesses
  • Solid understanding of P&L, profitability analysis, and a strong working knowledge of accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university and CPA; Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience leading a team with the ability to motivate, manage and develop high performers
  • Strong project management experience
  • Strong understanding of software business and financial models
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated skill in synthesizing data and presenting conclusions and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Prior experience with IPOs and SEC reporting a plus
