Role Summary

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you are the tip of the spear for our sales efforts, revenue generation, growth and success. You will use your personality, communication skills, and the knowledge we provide you (of our technology and best practices), to develop those conversations into Sales Qualified Leads (SQL’s)

At Semperis, BDR is the critical role responsible for developing prospects from both inbound and outbound sources, profiling prospects, and utilizing BANTT (not a typo) to qualify a good fit, in addition to providing valuable feedback on the effectiveness of our sales and marketing campaigns. Moreover, you will be part of a strong, cohesive, and collaborative team. This role contributes significantly to our pipeline generation efforts.

This role is located in the Dallas Metro Area.

Responsibilities

  • Develop targeted lists of prospects for outreach, as well as qualify inbound leads according to the established lead qualification framework
  • Conduct lead generation activities following the best practices and processes provided in our playbook, and provide feedback for process improvement based on insights gathered from the field
  • Interact with prospects via calls, emails and social platforms, such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Meetups, and local user groups, to develop interest in Semperis’ offerings
  • Effectively communicate (1) Semperis’ value proposition and (2) the functional and technical attributes of Semperis’ offerings to Technical Practitioners, Managers, Directors… up to and including C-Level Executives.
  • Map key stakeholders, understand prospects pain points and timeline, gather basic technical requirements, correlate business value to needs and determine the likelihood of the prospect being a good fit for Semperis’ offerings
  • Partner with aligned Account Executives to develop go-to-market strategy in your territory
  • Consistently achieve, or exceed, assigned lead generation quotas and performance goals
  • Seek referrals and/or references to expand your domain of prospects and increase your success
  • Maintain current awareness of industry best practices, Semperis’ product offerings, competitive landscape, client use cases and compelling events to help excel your performance
  • Update and maintain prospect information and sales activities in system(s) of record such as SalesLoft and SFDC
  • Provide Account Executives with detailed notes on prospect interaction and deal insights to ensure the opportunity is understood, and next steps are clearly defined during SQL handoff

Requirements

  • Technology Sales, Sales Development or Inside Sales experience is a plus
  • Self-starter with proven success with outbound (cold calling experience is required) and inbound lead generation, and competitive and results-driven environments
  • Demonstrated excellence with time management and prioritization, and the ability to complete multiple tasks to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to be both a top performer and enjoy sharing successes with the entire team
  • Experience in successfully challenging businesses (regardless of industry) to think differently and expect more from the technologies they invest in
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate value propositions to senior and director level executives (aka ‘Selling on Value’)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A history of, and consistency in, achieving or exceeding assigned goals, regardless of role or industry
  • Proficient with sales, prospecting and social selling tools. Strong preference for those we use including SFDC, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo/Discover.org, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoom, as well as Microsoft’s Office suite and Teams
