What you’ll be working on:
The Senior Financial Analyst applies the advanced analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills to support Savers’ Supply and Supply Chain operations. They possess a strong analytical mindset and demonstrate curiosity, collaboration, and creativity in solving problems and informing business decisions. They possess a pre-disposition toward relationships and business co-piloting, along with creativity in problem solving. These skills will be critical for supporting key supply and sourcing strategic initiatives which are at the foundation of Saver’s growth ambitions in the years to come. This role partners closely with Supply leaders on strategic initiatives that enable growth and efficiency across Savers’ donated goods supply network. With over 22,000 team members, Savers is on a mission to champion reuse and inspire a future where secondhand is second nature.
Essential Job Functions:
- Identifying and communicating actionable insights on Supply performance to support operational execution and decision-making.
- Developing and analyzing reports to support monthly close activities and financial performance analysis of Supply channels.
- Contributing to financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Analyzing product cost, profit margin, overhead trends, and labor efficiency to identify improvement opportunities.
- Preparing and presenting clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to Supply leadership.
- Collaborating with Accounting and other partners to improve and standardize management reporting.
What you have:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Driven and passionate about enabling business success through financial insight.
- Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and a desire to continuously deepen understanding of the thrift retail and supply business.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI, SQL, and other analytical tools preferred.
- Communicates effectively across functions and levels, tailoring messages to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting financial statements and applying strong planning and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to serve as a business partner—identifying issues, providing insights, and influencing decisions through operational and financial analysis.
- Ability to connect operational metrics and drivers to financial outcomes to inform recommendations.
Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field & strong knowledge of accounting practices
- 3-5 years experience in Finance or a combination of education and experience that yields the required Finance knowledge, skills & abilities
- 2 years of retail or manufacturing experience preferrable
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to communicate and understand the spoken word are important as well
- Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word
- Ability to receive detailed information through verbal communication, and to make the discriminations in sound
- Ability to receive detailed information visually through written communication (both physical and electronic)
