Description

• Ability to operate lift trucks and overhead cranes
• Must be able to pass 3G/ FCAW, 1G/ GMAW- MC and 3G/ GMAW-SC
• Produce high-quality products in accordance with established standards and procedures
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and adjust as necessary
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve production targets and deadlines
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the production process
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to understand and comply with all safety and shop rules
• Other duties as assigned.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to successfully operate proven fixtures

• Ability to completely fit beams, columns and Misc. metals.
• Intimidate math to include some trigonometry and geometry
• Contributes to a team under general supervision of an experienced professional or manager.
• Requires judgment or initiative in resolving issues and making recommendations
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to mentor Fitter 1’s
• Understands continuous improvement initiatives and is willing and able to make contributions

• Ability to fit complex curving of rails, stairs and canopies
• Ability to conceptualize intermediate fixtures
• Experience with providing supervision and guidance of crews
• Advanced mechanical aptitude
• Ability to do advanced math including trigonometry and geometry
• Ability to read advanced blueprints
• Understands and contributes to medium complexity continuous improvement initiatives .
• Understands beginning lean manufacturing.
• Ability to develop and lead up to 5 fitters.
