The Role
Our CMS & Web Platforms practice consists of a well-established team of engineers that focus on delivering great Content + Marketing experiences for some of the largest brands in the world. As we continue to build on our capabilities in this space, we are looking to expand our Optimizely skillset to support our clients that use Optimizely PaaS/Traditional CMS and SaaS CMS platforms to engage their end customers.
The Optimizely Technical Architect will shape and support pursuits, estimate effort, and confidently execute and deliver on projects. This individual will champion Optimizely internally and be an integral member of the team that is focused on delivering projects across the Optimizely suite.
What You’ll Do & The Impact You’ll Make
  • Architect, design, and code enterprise-grade Optimizely solutions, including CMS, CMP, ODP, and experimentation tools, collaborating closely with and mentoring CMS engineers 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define architecture, and ensure successful implementation and delivery aligned with business needs 
  • Integrate Optimizely with third-party systems such as marketing automation, analytics, and CRM platforms 
  • Ensure solution quality in terms of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and adherence to project scope and deadlines to ensure high client satisfaction 
  • Document architectural decisions, best practices, and custom solutions for knowledge management and client success 
  • Support account leads and project managers as the technical SME in key client meetings 
  • Support the sales team as an Optimizely engineering subject matter expert (SME) for pitch decks, proposals, client presentations, and pre-sales technical demos to win new business 
  • Estimate end-to-end Optimizely design and development efforts to define project scope and timelines 
  • Provide guidance on the effective use of the Optimizely suite and integrations with third-party marketing technology (Martech) to create holistic and scalable technical designs 
  • Champion and expand internal use of Optimizely via presentations, knowledge sharing, and providing domain expertise to grow team skills 
  • Stay current on Optimizely updates and digital experience platform industry trends to inform architecture decisions 
  • Create externally facing thought leadership on Optimizely-related topics to attract new prospects and build market presence 
 
What We’d Love to See
  • 3+ years of experience in conceptualizing, designing, building, and deploying end-to-end Optimizely PaaS CMS solutions for large-scale, global, multilingual, and headless architectures.
  • 8+ years of Optimizely enterprise web development experience leveraging .NET technologies including C#, ASP.NET MVC, and ASP.NET Core MVC, while applying S.O.L.I.D. OOP principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Optimizely upgrades, including version 11 to 12 migrations.
  • Working knowledge of Optimizely SaaS CMS, headless CMS architectures, content delivery APIs, and frameworks such as Next.js.
  • Skilled in designing and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs, as well as working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficient with front-end technologies including CSS, JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with digital experimentation platforms, including A/B testing and personalization strategies.
  • Proven track record of leading, coaching, and mentoring hybrid teams, including junior developers and new Optimizely adopters.
  • Strong background in client engagement, including facilitating presentations, demos, training sessions, and scope management.
  • Adept at engaging executives and project stakeholders to navigate complex conversations and guide projects to successful outcomes.
  • Optimizely CMS certification (or related platform certifications).
  • Additional experience with other CMS platforms such as Sitecore, Contentful, and Contentstack (a plus).
