The Financial Analyst ensures that key decision makers have the information and understanding they need to successfully lead the business. This high-visibility role is also directly responsible for developing and reporting metrics on company financial and operational performance.  They also work in close collaboration with their assigned business unit leaders to deliver all levels of expense forecasting, ultimately integrating with Accounting partners.

What you’ll do

  • Produce monthly budget-to-actual reports for assigned department leaders and provide analysis and data-driven recommendations for adjusting forecasts.
  • Partner with leadership in analyzing, maintaining, and understanding key performance metrics in assigned core areas of business.
  • Develop and maintain front line relationships with business leaders to fully understand revenue and expense drivers and foster a collaborative partnership environment to implement financial best practices.
  • Construct, improve and maintain projection models for assigned areas of the business.
  • Assist Accounting and Finance with routine and periodic tasks/projects as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • Experience: Proven experience working as an analyst in finance/FP&A, decision support, strategy, etc. preferred.
  • Outstanding critical thinking skills, an ability to pierce through to the essential underlying drivers, identify problems and develop models and analysis that form the basis for executive decision-making.
  • Comfort leading and collaborating on projects to support and effectuate business decisions.
  • The ability to arrive at practical, actionable solutions that are executable and with a commitment to a sound financial operating discipline and the company’s strategic goals.
  • Familiarity with positioning a business contextually from a financial/strategic perspective through understanding the business model, the competitive environment for the business’ services and the expectations/comparative performance of traditional approaches or competitors.
  • Finance technology fluency; Workday Adaptive Planning/Adaptive Insights experience preferred.
  • Strong administrative/technical skills; Comfort working on a PC using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IM/video conferencing (Teams & Zoom), and telephones efficiently.
  • Trustworthy and accountable behavior, capable of viewing and maintaining confidential information daily.
