Internship Description:

The Quantum Health Summer Internship Program is an intensive 12-week opportunity designed for rising seniors (2021 grads) and graduate students who would like to work in an exciting, fast-paced and challenging environment. As an intern at Quantum Health you will contribute to meaningful projects, interact with other interns, be exposed to Quantum Health's business operations and work cross functionally with other departments.

Internship Guidelines:

  • Application Review and Interviews: Dec 2019 through March 2020 as needed by role
  • The Internship Program is 12 weeks beginning May 25, 2020 through Aug 14, 2020
  • All internships are paid, 40 hours per week.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program graduating either Spring or Summer 2021 with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing future basis without requiring sponsorship

IT -  Infrastructure Unified Communications – Network/Voice Internship

This internship provides the opportunity to learn VoIP and/or Networking skills by working with a five-member team.  This position provides mostly hands-on learning, working side-by-side with team members in a fast-paced environment.

Roles and Tasks:

  • Develop business relationships with IT teams and other business units
  • Participate in organization support as part of the UC team
  • Assist with moves, adds, changes, and deletes (MACD) within the Voice systems
  • Assist with troubleshooting of advanced Networking and/or Voice related issues
  • Learn ITIL foundations used to align IT services with the needs of the business
  • Learn complex networking architecture and/or cutting-edge telephony systems used to support a large call center
  • Learning agility and curiosity to proactively learn new technologies and apply these capabilities to solve different business problems

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in, or completion of, a Bachelor’s degree program, majoring in Computer Science or related IT field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Rising seniors (class of 2021) and graduate students - mental agility is a must
  • Excellent documentation skills – candidates should be prepared to provide examples of technical documentation they have created
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Basic understanding of Windows server and desktop Operating Systems
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point
  • Basic understanding of IP networking and/or VoIP protocols and codecs
  • Enrollment in, or completion of, a CCNA certification a plus
  • SQL Server query and basic administration experience a plus
  • Ability to quickly gain understanding into team processes
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced, fun, and often demanding environment
