Summary of the Revenue Operations Data Specialist
The Revenue Operations Data Specialist (RODS) will understand and work with complex data sets to drive insights in our sales and marketing organization, analyze business trends, and help design, develop, create, and publish interactive and informative dashboards.


Responsibilities of the Revenue Operations Data Specialist
  • Develop insightful and interactive business intelligence reports (KPIs, operating metrics, business metrics, ad-hoc queries), dashboards, and scorecards that can be consumed rapidly by decision-makers in an ongoing effort to increase overall sales productivity, unlock key insights, and to improve internal processes
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to provide benchmarking and progress against key performance goals and initiatives for the sales team and to enable visibility into metrics specifically designed to determine pipeline health, sales funnel conversion rates, competitor insights, and overall go-to-market performance
  • Track key performance indicators to enhance the understanding of the business and to improve decision-making to drive improvements for sales and revenue generation
  • Standardize reporting and data management and maintain and enhance current dashboards to improve operational efficiency
  • Ensure data integrity is maintained by auditing prospect and customer data for accuracy and making necessary adjustments as needed
  • Implement and maintain predictive forecasting software in order to provide sales and finance the ability to anticipate outcomes and behaviors based on data
  • Build, maintain, and support data integration between cross-functional systems used by sales, finance, marketing, implementation, and client services
  • Provide regular data enrichment updates using information from third parties to integrate missing data to the records in internal databases
  • Work with sales and finance to analyze account segmentation data in order to enable sales to focus on the most viable targets, quantify upsell, cross-sell, and prospect opportunity, establish effective quota-setting
  • Analyze territories by assessing account quality and market potential to effectively structure and distribute territory assignments
  • Collaborate with teams including sales, marketing, finance, product management, implementation, and client services for analytical requests
  • Partner with finance to ensure operationalization of reporting processes, policies and definitions
  • Provide business recommendations and reporting insights related to marketing waterfall, sales velocity, and other lead and opportunity-based metrics
  • Support, develop, and maintain effective communications and excellent relationships with internal customers including ensuring their requirements are identified and consistently met

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of the Revenue Operations Data Specialist
  • Data driven individual with a strong business acumen and focus on analytical problem solving, data manipulation and management skills
  • Passionate about data-driven insights and making a measurable impact on revenue
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to understand the “why” and “how” of data and to be able to tell the story behind it
  • Ability to develop recommendations, form judgments, and make decisions based on existing available data
  • Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy, integrity, process consistency and documentation in planning, forecasting, and modeling approaches
  • Experience with using Salesforce required
  • Expert experience with Excel required
  • Experience with Pardot, Einstein Analytics, Tableau, and SQL queries preferred
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to effectively collaborate cross-functionally, partnering with stakeholders to drive business performance
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Ability to work independently more than 75% of the time
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel occasionally
