The Opportunity:
The Senior Network Architect, Cloud & Datacenter is responsible for designing efficient and optimal networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the Internet, and cloud computing virtual networks, software-defined networks, and other data communications systems. This position specifically focuses on the design of the network in both physical deployments in co-location sites to connect to cloud networks as well as the cloud-based implementation of virtual network infrastructure in public clouds like AWS and Azure with an emphasis on traffic orchestration and security to and from data centers, partners, and vendors.
Your Responsibilities:
- Expert knowledge across multiple technical disciplines including routing, network security, virtualization, storage and/or data management.
- Background work with on premise and cloud (private and or public, Azure and/or AWS) data center environments along with migrations.
- Plans, designs, and documents network architecture.
- Implementation of WAN, LAN, and datacenter networks with a focus on mission-critical, highly available, partner-facing applications and services.
- Technical knowledge in ancillary network areas like DNS, DHCP, NTP, and Network Tools & Management as well as advanced networking disciplines of software-defined networks (SDN), load balancing, and security design (next-gen firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention).
- Ability to work non-standard hours during change implementations.
- Cloud experience (AWS (VPC, transit gateway, private link, ELB, etc), Azure (connectivity services – Vnet, VPN gateway, application protection, application delivery and network monitoring, etc.).
Skills we need:
- Technical or Bachelor's degree in Systems, Software Engineering or similar.
- Advanced English.
- 5 or more years of similar experience.
- Ideal efficiency in network analysis, management tools, and monitoring platforms (SolarWinds, Splunk, Wireshark, etc).
- Experience with Switching, Security and Mobility Solutions required.
- Switching and Routing: Expert level in Cisco and Fortigate infrastructure.
- IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, Spam filtering, content filtering experience is required.
- Experience in AWS/Azure networking (VPC, vNet, LB, DirectConnect, etc).
- Extreme Networks Switching and Wireless, Juniper Networking, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA with Firepower, Nexus Platform, Fortinet Solutions.
- Strong documentation skills (SOP’s, Work Instructions, Visio diagrams).
