The Opportunity:


The Windows SysAdmin with a focus on PowerShell and DSC will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining complex Windows-based systems and applications. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of PowerShell scripting and Desired State Configuration (DSC) and will be responsible for using these tools to automate the deployment and management of Windows-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have experience in developing and deploying solutions that are scalable, highly available, and secure.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement and maintain PowerShell scripts and DSC configurations to automate the deployment and management of Windows-based infrastructure
  • Manage and troubleshoot complex Windows-based systems and applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions that meet business needs and requirements
  • Monitor system performance, analyze system logs and identify potential issues, and implement solutions to prevent downtime
  • Ensure system security and compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during off-hours as needed
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
 
Skills we need:
  • Technical or Bachelor's degree in Systems, Software Engineering or similar.
  • Exp. as a Windows System Administrator or with a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting and Desired State Configuration (DSC).
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Ideal exp. with AWS and containerized environments.
  • Ideal knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Ideal understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls.
