COORDINATOR OF OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Responsible for proactively working with facility management to identify and assess KPI gaps, and lead projects to closure through the use of Operational Excellence tools and methodologies.
Responsibility:
• Lives and reinforces Safety as a condition in all activities
• Serves as the Pilgrim’s Management Method subject matter expert for assigned facilities
• Leads assigned facility’s Management Method efforts by functioning as a business partner with each Method Pillar
• Responsible for proactively working with facility management to identify and assess KPI gaps, and lead projects to closure through the use of Operational Excellence tools and methodologies
• Delivers effective Management Method training
• Demonstrates ownership of core tools
• 6S
• Writing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
• Statistical Process Control
• Root Cause Analysis
• Kaizen Events
• Leads gap-closure projects and owns project success.
• Update and analyze key metrics for the assigned complex or business unit
• Leads self-assessment activities for Management Method.
Education:
Undergraduate Degree, (Prefer engineering, science, or business focus)
Experience:
• 2 - 5 years manufacturing industry experience (preferably in poultry)
• At least 1 year in Pilgrim’s
• Background in ZBB or production
Special Skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong Excel user
• MiniTab experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Good internal relationship skills
• Resilient & Flexible
• Teaching and coaching skills
• Hands-on mentality
• High level of business acumen
• 6 Sigma Green Belt or higher
• Lean Methodology including Waste reduction experience
