PURPOSE AND GENERAL SUMMARY: 
Pilgrim’s is looking for a Receptionist to provide clerical and administrative support as well as greeting and assisting visitors and operating the telephone switchboard. This role will be based in at our processing plant in Cold Spring, MN.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greets, assists, and directs all visitors ensuring appropriate visitor badges are assigned and company security procedures are followed.
  • Provides clerical and administrative support for Human Resources utilizing various equipment and computer software.
  • Provides support for other areas as time allows.
  • Answers the switchboard proper directing and screening calls according to procedure.
  • Maintains inventory of office supplies, placing cost effective orders to maintain a working supply.
  • Sorts and distributes intercompany and USPS mail.
  • Assists with organizing rooms, supplies, and catering as needed for company meetings, events, and plant tours.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of reception area.
  • Other duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS and BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma required.
  • 1-2 years of educational training or clerical experience preferred.
  • Professional personal presentation required.
  • Event/meeting planning experience preferred.
  • Considerable knowledge of security procedures.
  • Considerable knowledge of office procedures, clerical and administrative duties and functions.
  • Intermediate skills and abilities in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation 
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, personal days, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $ 18-20/hr; and
