Our client is an Agriculture Technology startup that has developed unique products that are great for the environment, uses upcycled materials and is reducing the use of a naturally occurring product that is being heavily depleted worldwide. These are industry disruptive products that are environmentally friendly and sustainable. Their vision is to have manufacturing plants across the US in the next several years to supply distributors and retailers products at reasonable prices.
The ideal candidate will have raised EQUITY funding (over $20M), been critical to the successful growth and involved in an exit of at least one startup. Initially engaged as an unpaid Advisory Board Member to the company, this is an equity only position until additional funding has been raised. Current funds are being leveraged to manufacture more products to fill orders and sustain business operations. After funding, a salary, equity and other benefits.
Upon a successful equity fund raise this role will convert to a VP or CXO role in the company.
Responsibilities:
- First and foremost - securing $20M+ in EQUITY funding to execute current company business plan
- Create successful investor presentations, and work trade shows, conferences etc. as needed to build industry awareness of product line with other team members
- Assist the current CEO in building a team to advance the company’s growth and execute the long-term business plan
Experience:
- 5 plus years of experience at the VP or C-level in a startup with a proven track record of raising equity funding of over $20M for a company that can be verified
- Network of investors familiar with Ag Tech, highly desirable
- Experience in operations and helping a company grow through strategic vision
- Experience in the Ag Tech space a plus
- Knowledge of manufacturing best practices a plus
- Able to travel as needed
