The Job at a Glance

As our Senior Accountant, you will support our Senior Director of Technical Accounting and Parts Town Unlimited Finance team. You’ll support our month-end close and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This role focuses on balance sheet ownership, journal entry preparation and review, and analysis of financial results. You’ll help drive process improvement, enhance the quality of financial reporting, and support the preparation of consolidated financial statements in a fun, fastpaced, collaborative environment!

 

A Typical Day

 

  • Support the monthly close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries and completion of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Record and reconcile debt activity, including borrowings, repayments, and interest expense, ensuring accuracy and alignment with supporting schedules
  • Assist with Asset-Based Lending (ABL) reporting, including preparation and analysis of Borrowing Base Certificates (BBC)
  • Manage and coordinate the company-wide intercompany reconciliation process, including intercompany AR/AP, cash sweep activity, and intercompany sales (ensuring timely resolution of variances across entities)
  • Manage and reconcile various billing processes, including benefits, insurance, and other vendor-related allocations
  • Support interim and year-end external audits, including preparation of schedules and responding to auditor requests
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Tax, Treasury) to support financial reporting and analysis

To Land This Opportunity

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook (bonus points if you have experience with SAP, OneStream, or other ERP/consolidation tools)
  • You pay close attention to detail and have excellent organizational skills (as far as you’re concerned, anything worth doing should be done right!)
  • You have strong time management skills and can manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • You are a proactive self-starter that learns and adapts quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • You have comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 1+ years of relevant accounting experience (CPA or progress toward certification is preferred)
  • You have a quality, high speed internet connection at home
  • You’re an all-star communicator and are proficient in English (both written and verbal)
  • You can work a schedule of M-F 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (CST) with flexibility to adjust to different hours as needed

The salary range for this role is $76,547.10 to $103,303.15 annually, which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role.
