Here’s what you’ll deliver:

  • Ensure all internal work orders and sublets are coordinated.
  • Ensure all charges are billed out correctly in a timely and accurate manner in order for sales commissions to be calculated.  
  • Responsible for dealing with internal companies and third-party appraisal to obtain approvals.
  • Issue internal and warranty repair orders.
  • Ensure all required vehicle parts are ordered.
  • Organize the workflow of internal service vehicles through the shop.
  • Present estimates of work required on used vehicle reconditions.
  • Organize e-testing/sublet work on internal vehicles as required.
  • Open work orders on all new and used vehicles.
  • Track new car deliveries between the Sales, Service and Clean-up departments.
  • Ensure all vehicles go through a complete reconditioning process to assure consistency in the readiness to process for sale, delivery and/or placement on the lot.
  • Confirm that all damages have been approved before starting repairs, or getting such approvals for hidden damages throughout repair.
  • Responsible for the management of work orders, and making sure financials are always in order.
  • Order parts before and throughout repairs and communicate ETA's for parts to management and CSR staff.
  • Responsible for making decisions on how the vehicle will be repaired depending on policies, procedures or requirements.
  • Assists the Service Manager as necessary.
  • Completes safety checks for used vehicles within the dealership.
  • Ability to work in adherence to company safety standards at all times.
  • Comply with all company policies, standards and procedures.
  • Other duties as required by management.

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum 1 year of automotive experience or equivalent.
  • CDK Dealer software experience is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical repairs and terminology.
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Proven data entry and typing skills.
  • Experience in all aspects of customer service
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a changing, fast-paced working environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule.

Job Type: Full Time - Permanent

Compensation (expected annual compensation): $46,000 - $55,000 per year (base salary plus monthly performance-based bonuses). This range includes a fixed base salary and eligibility for monthly bonuses tied to individual results and/or department performance, which may be influenced by business volumes. Actual bonus earnings vary based on performance.
