We are looking for a Retail Supervisor at our dealership who will be responsible for overseeing
daily showroom operations, managing the sales team, ensuring exceptional customer service,
and driving dealership sales performance. This role acts as a bridge between sales staff and
upper management, ensuring sales targets are met while maintaining a positive and
professional dealership environment.

Job Description

  • Managing the traffic on the sales floor.
  • Monitor daily sales activities, appointments, and follow-ups.
  • Supporting Sales team to generate business and assist with close deals to meet department sales targets.
  • Manage, supervise, train, motivate, and monitor the performance of sales staff.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Handle all customer complaints on a timely basis.
  • Answering customer inquiries over the phone and/or in the dealership on a daily basis.
  • Represent the Employer in a favorable light to all accounts, press and industry representatives at all times.
  • Maintain contact with customers on a timely basis and in a professional manner.
  • Account for all documents; ensure that none are missing.
  • Establishes and enforces product-knowledge standards.
  • Actively supporting, encouraging, and motivating sales personnel daily to maintain high morale.
  • Exhibiting a professional management style that sets the example for enthusiasm, productivity, and accountability.
  • Uphold all rules and procedures - support enforcement, including disciplinary action as necessary.
  • Work in strict compliance with the requirements and regulations of the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC).
  • Work in strict compliance with the Laws of the Province of Ontario and Canada including, but not limited to, the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and the Accessibilities for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Employment Requirements

  • Post Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business Administration (or similar) preferred.
  • Flexibility to adapt to constantly changing business.
  • High motivation, energy and ability to perform with minimal supervision.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient knowledge of microsoft excel.
  • Must have strong time management skills, ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Willingness to create and work within a fun atmosphere.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive sales (Honda dealership experience required).
  • Proven success as a retail sales consultant in a Honda dealership. At least one year of Council of Sales Leadership recognition.
  • OMVIC license required.
  • Must have completed all Honda Canada training courses, both online and in class.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication (in English) and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to analyze sales data and performance metrics.
  • High level of professionalism and customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and dealership management software.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License and good driving record.

Working Conditions

  • Work at a desk, in an office, which is situated near the company sales floor.
  • Alternate between sitting and standing for 7.5 hours per day.
  • Required to use office equipment, such as a computer, fax machine and telephone.
  • Will work mainly in an indoor, temperature moderated, well-lit environment.
  • May also be required to accompany customers on test drives of the vehicle.
  • Overtime may be required.
