IT Systems Engineer

Information Technology Burlingame, California



Provide IT Infrastructure support and services companywide including installing, maintaining, upgrading, monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting equipment and software in support of network and server infrastructure. Support a high availability and secure production operations environment including multiple servers, networking, and cloud service management. Provide support for desktop infrastructure management and administration. Manage the implementation and deployment of IT operations and infrastructure projects.


  • Maintain IT Infrastructure, which includes, but not limited to, servers (virtual and physical), network equipment, systems and services provided by IT. Perform management as required on any IT Infrastructure.
  • Responsible for handling all help desk queries through tickets or phone.
  • Manage a Windows centric virtual server environment.
  • Increase repeatability and efficiency using automation and scripting.
  • Coordinate infrastructure system planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing, and servicing.
  • Ensure proper security controls and best practices are adhered to.


Education & Work Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • 4yrs+ years system engineering experience in supporting Microsoft Windows 2012/2016, Microsoft 365 and Windows 10.



  • Good analytical and communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft technologies is required
  • Strong understanding of HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, SSL, VPN, MS SQL.
