About the Department
The Strategy, Planning, and Analytics team works collaboratively with all departments across the organization to support strategy formulation, growth plan execution, and project implementation. The team provides the organization with in-depth analytical support in evaluating existing operations and new business opportunities. Furthermore, they help lead and advise cross-functional project teams in executing action items/special projects that have been designed to help NYRR continue to reach its strategic objectives.
About the Position
The Strategy Lead will report to the Director, Strategy with the core responsibility of supporting the development organizational strategy, product plans, and business models for NYRR portfolio offerings. The Lead will assist in the execution of the strategic plan and will track organizational performance and impact. They will work cross-functionally on the strategy development for many of NYRR’s products and programs.
Job Responsibilities (primary and secondary duties):
- Support the development of the annual and long-term organizational business plan, strategic priorities, goals, and key initiatives
- Develop and manage the process for tracking progress against the annual strategic plan and long-term business plan
- Coordinate the process for evaluation and development of new product and initiative ideas: assist in facilitating ideation and prioritization processes; ensure alignment with organizational strategy; conduct market research; support build of business plans
- Assist in analysis of the market/competitors, historical registration, and profitability to inform all aspects of the organization from high-level goals to program specific targets
- Assist in the development of strategic plans and business models to address identify gaps/opportunities and drive growth, efficiencies, and impact of offerings
- Partner with stakeholders from across all aspects of the organization to build-out strategic plans for a variety of products, programs, and initiatives
- Other projects and initiatives as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a business-related
- Some experience in planning and executing strategy/innovation sessions
- Some experience working with and developing strategy and business plans, including market research to innovate and deliver new offerings for an organization
- Experience in assessing product/portfolio effectiveness/return preferred
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; aptitude to work with a variety of internal and external constituencies
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team on collaborative assignments

- Fluency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
