The NBBJ Seattle office has a unique opportunity for a highly capable Human Resources professional to join our team as a HR Generalist. You will contribute to the success of NBBJ and the Human Resources team by supporting HR initiatives, onboarding and answering employee questions. 
In your new role you will:
  • Support and maintain HR System Records, filing, data entry, I-9 & E-Verify record keeping, and other general HR administrative duties.
  • Lead the NBBJ New Hire Orientation and Onboarding initiative to provide a compelling and relevant onboarding experience to support and retain top talent
  • Support firm wide recruiting efforts - editing job descriptions, posting jobs, and reference checks, assist in scheduling interviews, drafting offer letters, and updating candidate information in the ATS.
  • Conducts payroll auditing and reporting.   
  • In collaboration with HR team, assist with the university outreach and summer internship programs.
  • Trusted advisor to studio core teams and employees, supporting them on day to day HR matters, firm policies, procedures and benefit related questions.
  • In collaboration with the HR team, find proactive and creative solutions for a broad range of day to day HR issues that surface.
  • Help drive and support select HR initiatives from concept, successful execution and rollout strategies.
  • Performs wide array of other related HR duties, tasks and projects as required. 
What you will need to succeed:
  • 2 - 4 years of progressive HR experience, strongly preferred in professional services or entrepreneurial.
  • BA/BS in HR field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Prioritization and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-starter, can work collaborative and independently  
  • Ability to handle stress in a graceful manner
  • Approachable, positive and helpful demeanor 
  • Able to handle conflicting priorities with ease
  • Proficient in anticipating and solving complex challenges
  • Strong technical skills – proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, database management, and onboarding software.

The annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $67,000 and $72,000. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of  factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
